McPherson, KS – The CCC women's tennis team lost a pair of matches at home this weekend. They fell on Friday to John Brown University 9-0 and then on Saturday to Ottawa University 0-5.
Coach Stauffer had Shelbi Mathis and Em Barnett paired up at the #1 doubles spot, and they had the best result in the doubles portion of the dual, losing 4-8. In singles, the best performance as at the #2 position by Stevie Penn. Penn played a very competitive match, but eventually fell 5-8.
Not much went right for the Lady Tigers against the Braves on Saturday. The CCC ladies managed to win just three games in all five matches played on the day.
The ladies will be back in action next Tuesday at home against Hesston College. Match time is slated for 1:00 pm.
