Winfield, Kan. – The Central Christian College baseball team was originally scheduled to play their home opener this past weekend in a triangular with Dordt University and Southwestern College. Unfortunately the field at Tiger Stadium was unplayable due to rains earlier in the week.
In order to keep the games on the schedule, the decision was made to move the games to Southwestern College's home file in Winfield, Kansas. All three teams played each other once on both days. The Tigers played back to back on Friday, opening with Southwestern College then finishing the day against Dordt University.
On Saturday, the Tigers played the two late games, starting with Dordt, and finishing with Southwestern. It was a tough weekend offensively as the Tigers were outscored by their opponents 47-7.
Game 1, L 10-2
