Langston Pulls Away Late as Tigers Fall in Oklahoma

Langston, Okla. - The Central Christian College of Kansas men's basketball team battled on the road Saturday afternoon but was unable to overcome a strong Langston University squad, falling 82–63.

Langston set the tone early, using an efficient first half to build a 38–28 halftime advantage. Central Christian stayed within striking distance through the opening minutes, but the Lions' balanced offense and defensive pressure made it difficult for the Tigers to find sustained momentum.

The Tigers showed fight in the second half and looked to cut into the deficit, but Langston answered each run with timely baskets. The Lions extended their lead late and closed out the contest to secure the home victory.

Central Christian was led offensively by Jaeden Whitten, who scored 12 points and was perfect from the free-throw line. Chris Whitten added 10 points, while Aaron Doria chipped in nine, knocking down a pair of three-pointers off the bench. Travis King also provided a spark with eight points.

The Tigers record moves to 7-7, 2-6 SAC with the loss to the Lions. They will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to take on Southwestern Christian University. Tip-off is set for 8:00pm. The game will be streamed live on the Urban Edge Network.
