Seward, Neb. – The Central Christian College of Kansas Men's Soccer team traveled to Seward, Nebraska to take on Concordia University (Neb.) over the weekend.
The Tigers were struck early as Concordia found the back of the net just four minutes into the match. This would set the tone for the rest of the first half as the Tigers struggled to get shots on target.
The Bulldogs would continue their offensive attack, netting another goal in the 15
th minute to take a 2-0 lead. This lead would stand up until the 84
th minute when the Bulldogs would extend their lead to 3-0.
The lone bright spot for the Tigers would be a late goal by
Joel Romero in the 88
th minute to cut into the lead.
The Tigers would go on to drop the contest 3-1.
The Tigers, now 0-4-1 on the season look to turn things against McPherson College as they welcome the Bulldogs to campus for the annual Collegiate Cup matches. Kick-off of the Collegiate Cup starts with Women's Soccer at 5:00PM and the Men's game is scheduled for 7:30PM. The games will be streamed live on the SAC Sports Network and the Urban Edge Network.
