Tigers Compete in NCCAA Central Region Championship, Vogt Qualifies for Nationals

Wichita Falls, Texas - The Central Christian College of Kansas Women's Golf team competed in the NCCAA Central Region Championship this past weekend at Weeks Park Golf Course in Wichita Falls, Texas. The tournament format was 36 holes on Saturday and the teams represented were Central Christian, Dallas Christian College, Manhattan Christian College and Wayland Baptist University.

Joellen Vogt led the way for the Tigers, shooting 81 and 83 for a total of 164 for the tournament. She finished tied for 4th which qualified her to be the individual representative from the Central Region. The NCCAA Golf National Championship will be held in Palm Coast, Florida on October 20th-22nd. 

As a team, the Tigers shot 349 and 363 for a two round total of 712 and they finished behind Wayland Baptist University which secured the Central Region team title and will be the team representative at the National Championship.

The Tigers next tournament will take place at Hesston Golf Park as they compete in the Bethel Fall Invitation on September 29th and 30th.
