Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Kacey Parrett

Tigers net 4 goals in win over Randall

McPherson, Kan. - The Tiger Women's soccer team was back in action yesterday evening in a home contest against Randall University.

Scoring opportunities were there early in the game for the Tigers and in just the 10th minute, Cora Harrison scored her 2nd goal of the season to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Randall however quickly responded in the 13th minute on a centering cross from the right side to tie the game. The Tigers scored again before halftime as Makhaya Smith was in front of the net to rebound a shot from Kaye Harrison that hit the right post and tapped it in for her first goal of the season.

In the 2nd half the Tigers kept their momentum and found the back of the net again in the 58th minute as Kaye Harrison scored her 2nd goal of the season on a great cross into the box from CJ Cox to add to the Tiger lead. Randall began to put some pressure on after going down 2 goals but could not capitalize. In the 81st minute, Kaye Harrison scored her 2nd goal of the game to put an exclamation point on the match as the Tigers earned a much needed 4-1 victory over Randall.

The Tigers are now 2-4-1 on the season and will take a week off from playing before a short trip north to play Bethany College next Wednesday in Lindsborg. The game will kickoff at 7pm and be streamed on the KCAC Network.
