McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College of Kansas Volleyball team took a break from SAC play to take on the #9 ranked McPherson College Bulldogs in another Collegiate Cup matchup on Wednesday.
The Tigers struggled to generate any momentum in the first set as a run of seven straight points for the Bulldogs gave them a 9-2 lead early in the set. The Bulldogs would go on another run to close out the first set and win it by a score of 25-11.
The second set was much of the same as the Tigers could not regain any momentum. The Bulldogs would go on multiple runs in the second set, claiming this one again by the score of 25-11.
The Tigers showed some grit early in the third set, leveling the score at 7-7 with multiple kills and a service ace. McPherson would start an 18-3 run that would culminate with the Bulldogs winning the third set 25-10 resulting in a sweep of the Tigers.
Overall, the Tigers tallied 13 kills on 69 swings with 20 errors resulting in a hitting percentage of -.101 on the evening.

The loss sees the Tigers move to 2-6 on the young season. They are back in action this weekend against John Brown University on Friday at 6:00PM and College of the Ozarks at 1:00PM on Saturday. The games will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
