McPherson, Kan. - The Central Christian College Men's soccer team returned home this past Saturday to take on the Briar Cliff University Chargers looking to get on track following a road loss to Southwestern College.
 
The game began with back and forth action with both teams possessing the ball and generating at least one shot attempt in the first 15 minutes. Joel Romero opened up the scoring in the 29th minute to put the Tigers up 1-0. That would be the last of the action for the first half as the Tigers took the lead into the break
 
Unfortunately it would be all Briar Cliff in the 2nd half as they found their rhythm right away out of the break, scoring in the 47th, 49th, and 55th minute and then again in the 77th minute. The Tigers were unable to respond to all the Briar Cliff pressure, with seconds left in the game Sidney Tippner was able to notch his 2nd goal of the season but the Tigers would suffer a 4-2 loss.
 
This puts the Tigers at (0-2-1) on the season as the attention will turn to an away contest against Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kansas on The game will kickoff at 8:00pm and will be streamed on the KCAC Network and the Urban Edge Network.
