Kansas City, Mo. – The Central Christian College Women's Soccer team traveled to Kansas City, Missouri to take on Spurgeon College as a part of their non-conference schedule.
The Tigers pounced quickly as
Maria Duda Farias found the back of the net in just the 4
th minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead early. Central controlled the ball for the majority of the game, totaling 9 shots on goal throughout the game and only allowing Spurgeon to take 4 shots on goal.
Leslie Canas would extend the Tigers lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 46
th minute off a great cross from Senior

Spurgeon found life in the 77
th minute as a defensive miscue by the Tigers led to a Knights goal to cut the lead to 2-1. The Tigers would go on to avoid any last minute drama and win by this score of 2-1.
The Tigers (1-1), are back in McPherson on Saturday night as they welcome Friends University to town. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30PM. The game will be streamed live on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
