Manhattan, Kan. - The Tigers took a trip north to Manhattan for a contest against Manhattan Christian last night looking to get back in the win column.
The Tigers had a strong 1st half, taking a 41-27 into the break led by 22 points in the half from
Chris Whitten and 10 points from
Jevarrick Butler.
Travis King helped eliminate second chances for Manhattan Christian as he collected 10 first half rebounds.
Manhattan Christian began to make things a little more interesting in the 2nd half getting within 7 points with 4 minutes left but the Tigers played well throughout and were able to close it out and win by a score of 74-68.
Chris Whitten finished with 28 points and
Jevarrick Butler finished with 16,
Andre Cooper and
Jaeden Whitten also pitched in with 9 and 8 points.
Travis King finished with 12 rebounds and now has 25 total across his last 2 games.
The Tigers are now 4-1 on the season and have their final non conference game of the season coming up tomorrow against Hesston College in Hesston. The game will tipoff at 7:30pm.
