Bethany, Okla. - The Tiger Men's Soccer team was in Oklahoma yesterday taking on the Southwestern Christian University Eagles in a big contest for both teams for the conference standings.

Both teams took some shots in the first half but were not able to find the back of the net. The Tiger missed the net on their 2 tries with the Eagles giving the Tigers a scare near the end of the half with a shot off the crossbar.

The score remained stuck at 0-0 into the 61st minute until the Eagles struck first from the front left side of the box to take a 1-0 lead. The Tigers desperately needed to walk away with at least a point in this one and would stay in the fight. In the 86th minute, Silvestre Martinez executed a beautiful cross into the box to Sidney Tippner who was able to delivered a header to his teammate Genis Alcaide who would find the back of the net with a header of his own for an epic equalizer. The match would end in a 1-1 draw giving the Tigers what they needed to remain in the fight for a spot in the conference tournament.

The Tigers are now 2-10-4 (2-4-2) on the season and can clinch a spot in the conference tournament with a win or a draw against Oklahoma City University on senior day in the final match of the regular season. The game is set for 3:30pm and will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
