McPherson, Kan. - The Central Christian Women's soccer team took on the University of Science and Arts Oklahoma Drovers at home last night looking to get back on track after a home loss on Saturday.
The Drovers maintained possession of the ball well in the first half and generated the opportunities, the Tigers were hanging in there on defense for the most part but a Drovers goal in the 35th minute sent the Tigers into halftime down 1-0.
In the second half the Tigers continued to hang in there against a good Drovers team, keeper
Macy Clements had a great game making several big saves for the team and would prevent the Drovers from scoring again in this match. However the Tigers struggled to get chances to tie the game, Matthea Solegaard did earn a free kick in the 77th minute but the shot was blocked and the Tigers would ultimately lose the match by a score of 1-0
The Tigers are now 3-11-2 (1-6) on the season and will now get ready for their final home game of the season against Oklahoma City University on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 1pm and the match will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
