McPherson, Kan. - The Tiger Men's Soccer team was back at home on Saturday taking on the Mid-America Christian University Evangels looking to keep pace in the top half of the conference standings.
Both teams brought intensity to start the match, but the Tigers were struggling to generate chances in the half as the Evangels possessed the ball better and generated most of the chances in the half. This led to two Evangel goals in the 16th and 23rd minute and left the Tigers down 2-0 at half with some adjustments to make.
The Tigers did begin to possess the ball better in the 2nd half and generate some opportunities, they also tightened up on defense as the Evangels did not score again in the match. But the Tigers unfortunately came up empty handed on their 3 shot attempts in the half and would lose to a good Evangels squad by a score of 2-0.
The Tigers are now 2-9-3 (2-3-1) on the season and will look to get back in the win coloumn tomorrow night against University of Science and Arts Oklahoma. the match will kickoff at 7pm and be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
