Hesston, Kan. - The Central Christian College of Kansas Women's Soccer team took a break from Sooner Athletic Conference play to take on Hesston College on Tuesday night.
The Tigers came into the game looking to shake off their two game losing streak while the Larks also sought to bounce back after a loss to Southwestern Adventist.
The Larks took control early, scoring in the 7th minute and controlling the possession the majority of the first half. The Tigers could not even up the score in the first half despite some good looks. The shot count was close, the Tigers outshot the Larks 18-17 and both tallied 11 shots on goal throughout the game.
The Larks added to their lead shortly after the break, extending the game to 2-0 in their favor in the 47th minute.
The Tigers were unable to find the back of the net despite multiple shots near the end of the game. The Larks would go on to win the match 2-0 over the Tigers.
The Tigers (3-9-2), look ahead to Saturday as they welcome Mid-America Christian to campus for a Sooner Athletic Conference matchup. Kick-off is set for 1:00PM and the match will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and the Urban Edge Network.
