McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College softball team was back in action this weekend, returning to Sooner Athletic Conference action against Southwestern Christian University. The games were originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, but rain and low temps later in the week, pushed the games back to Sunday and Monday.
The Tigers struggled in all facets of the game all weekend, managing just one win out of the four games. That win came in game one of the second double header on Monday. Over the four games, the Tigers scored just 10 runs on 19 hits. Defensively, they finished the four game series with nine errors averaging just over two per contest.
Game 1: L, 8-5
Hitting: The Tigers scored five runs on six hits, that included a pair of doubles from
Destiny Holt.
Camryn Frick led the Tigers offensively, going 3 for 4 with a run scored.
Pitching: Madelyn Griffin got the start in the circle in game one. She went five innings allowing seven runs on 11 hits with four strikeouts and one walk.
Chelsie Hirtler came on in relief of Griffin working the final two innings. She gave up just one run on two hits with one strikeout and one walk.

Hitting: The Tigers were shutout in game two, managing only five hits in the contest. Three of the Tiger hits went for extra bases, let by
Halee Wallin who was 2 for 3 with two doubles.
Pitching: After closing out game one, Hirtler was given the ball to start game two. She pitched a complete game, allowing seven runs, only three of them earned, on ten hits, with two strikeouts and one walk.

Pitching: Kayla Voss pitched a complete game and picked up the win. She finished with allowing four runs on 11 hits with two strikeouts and one walk.

Hitting: The Tigers were "one hit" by the Eagles in the series finale. The lone Tiger hit was a double by
Karmen De La Cruz.

Ayanah Williams combined for the loss. Lynch went an inning and a third giving up seven runs, six earned, on six hits with a strikeout and three walks. Williams worked the final three and two-thirds allowing five runs on six hits with a strikeout and two walks.
