Plainview, Texas. – The Central Christian College women's basketball team fell on the road Thursday night to the Wayland Baptist University Flying Queens 97-52.
The Tigers held their own offensively, but were unable to do much on the defensive end of the floor to stop the potent Flying Queen offense. The Tigers trailed the Queens 26-11 at the end of the first quarter, and by the halftime intermission the deficit had grown to 25 points, 51-26.
The trend continued in the second half. The Tigers were able to find ways to score at times, but the Queens continued to score at will. Wayland outscored the Tigers 21-12 in the third quarter, and 25-14 in the fourth to win by 45.

For the game, the Tiger offense went 14-51 (27%) from the floor.
They were 9 of 33 (27%), from behind the three point arc.
They went 15-18 (83%) from the free throw line.
The Queens won the battle of the boards 47 to 24, and also the turnover battle 13 to 21.

The Tigers will wrap up their current road trip on Saturday in a 2:00 pm match-up in Goodwell, Oklahoma against the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies.
