McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College men's volleyball was back on the court Saturday afternoon in a double header with the top two teams in the conference, the Dordt University Defenders and the University of Jamestown Jimmies.

The Tigers were originally supposed to play 11th ranked Jamestown on Friday evening, but weather this week up in North Dakota didn't allow the Jimmies to make the trip at the regularly scheduled time. Instead the two teams played after the Tigers' regularly scheduled game on Saturday afternoon with the Dordt defenders.

The Tigers took on the Defenders, who are receiving national ranking votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll, at 1:00 pm. The Defenders quickly showed why a national ranking is probably on the horizon for the program. They took down the Tigers in straight sets, 25-12, 25-11, 25-10. They just had too much fire power for the Tigers.

By the Numbers

Against the Defenders, the Tigers hit .016 with 16 kills on 62 swings with 15 errors.

They assisted on 13 of their 16 kills.

Defensively, they were credited with 15 digs but no blocks.

They would go on to take set two 25-14, then close out the match in the third set 25-14.
