Tigers Come Up a Run Short at Sterling

Sterling, Kan. – The Central Christian College baseball team played their first mid-week game of the season on Tuesday, making the short trip over to Sterling, Kansas for a 9 inning game with the Sterling College Warriors.

The Tigers got on the board first with a single run in the top of the first inning. The Warriors responded with a run of their own to tie the game in their half of the first inning. They added a second run in the bottom of the second, then an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh. The Tigers tried to mount a rally in the final two innings but were only able to score one run in the top of the eighth to cut the lead to 3-2.
