McPherson, Kan. – The Central Christian College women's soccer team ended up on the wrong end of a 3-0 decision on Saturday afternoon at home against the Oklahoma City University Stars.
Despite be up one player, thanks to an OCU player being sent off midway through the first half, the Tigers were unable to generate much offense. The Stars got on the board in the 31st minute, then scored back to back goals in the second half in the 82nd and 89th minutes.
The Stars had the advantage in total shots 17 to 4, and shots on goal, 8 to 2. Katelyn Beckman (So. Colorado Springs, Colo.), finished the game with five saves.
With the loss, the Tigers fall to 0-10-1 on the year, and 0-4 in SAC play. They will be back in action this weekend, travelling to Goodwell, Oklahoma for a match with the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies. Kick-off is slated for 12:00 pm on Friday afternoon.
