Plainview, Texas. – The Central Christian College women's soccer team fell to 0-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference play with a hard fought 1-0 loss on the road Saturday at Wayland Baptist University.
The only goal of the game came in the 34th minute of action. The Pioneers had a decided advantage in shots 32-4 and in shots on goal, 18 to 3. Katelyn Beckman (So. Colorado Springs, Colo.), had another fantastic game in goal for the Tigers. She was under constant pressure from the Pioneers and she finished with 17 saves.
The loss drops the Tigers to 0-9-1 overall. They will be back on the pitch on Tuesday, at home against Texas Wesleyan University.
