Siloam Springs, Ark. – A couple of days after recording their first win of the season, the Central Christian College women's soccer team squared off against the Sooner Athletic Conference's top team, the John Brown University Golden Eagles, on the road in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
The Golden Eagles showed why they are the "Belle of the Ball" this year in the SAC, running over the Tigers by a score of 7-0. JBU scored four goals in the first half, the first just eight minutes into the game, then added three more in the second half to complete the shutout.
Katelyn Beckman (So. Colorado Springs, Colo.), collared the loss in goal for the Tigers. She was peppered all night, facing 17 shots on goals from the Golden Eagles. She finished with 10 saves.
The loss drops the Tigers to 1-11-1 overall, and 1-5 in SAC play. They will be back in action on Saturday, taking on the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Lions at 11:00 am at home.
