Fort Worth, Texas – The Central Christian College volleyball team opened up Sooner Athletic Conference play on Friday with a 3-0 loss, on the road at Texas Wesleyan University.
The Tigers pushed the Rams, a perennial power in the SAC, to the limit in the first set. In the end, the Rams were able to outlast the Tigers 27-25. After a scare from the Tigers, the Rams found their groove, and ran away with the second set 25-10. In the third set, the Tigers hung tough, but the Rams were able to pull away down the stretch 25-17.
By the Numbers

Coach Quote
"It was good to see how we stack up against one of the perennial powers in the conference. With the 1st set going to extra points I was very proud of our group and how well we played. After that Texas Wesleyan's team got into a rhythm and started playing a tempo of volleyball we couldn't match. It was exciting to see how we stack up and I am looking forward to the rest of conference play this season." – Coach Rick Hughes
