Waxahachie, Texas – The Central Christian College volleyball team wrapped up their opening weekend of Sooner Athletic Conference action on the road against Southwest Assemblies of God University on Saturday.
The SAGU Lions are one of the top teams in the SAC year in year out in volleyball, and 2022 looks to be no different. The Lions were on top of their game on Saturday, defeating the Tigers in straight sets 25-12, 25-15, 25-16. The Tigers continued to improve in each set, and were much more competitive than previous years, but the Lions just had too much fire power.

Coach Quote
"SAGU is a good team and I think has the potential to go deep into the post season. We matched up well but our youth and inexperience in big matches made it a tough match up. Our team continues to work hard and improve and we look forward to when SAGU comes to our gym!" – Coach Rick Hughes
