McPherson, KS –
Kassidy Forsberg ties her season high with a 16 point effort, but Golden Eagles 3
rd quarter spoils Tigers night and take the game 74-65.
After taking the court last time against Langston in a lopsided game, the Tigers were eager to get to the floor again hosting the John Brown Golden Eagles of Siloam Springs. Tigers would be at the disadvantage tonight as they would be down two Lady Tigers, while John Brown took advantage of their multiple substitutes all game.
Although the Tigers seemed to have all odds stacked against them, they played a great game and the only separation in the game came in the 3
rd quarter. Tigers would score 16, but give up 27 points that quarter and give the Golden Eagles a double digit lead heading into the 4
th.
Tigers would hang with the Golden Eagles most of the night and the stat sheet would have similar numbers, but Tigers would have 24 turnovers compared to 9 for the Golden Eagles.
Central Christian Quotes:
Head Coach
Marc Golden
"I was proud of the way our team worked today. They did a good job on the rebounding and they played together. We just need to keep working on those turnovers. I also think we will be a lot better when we get everyone else back. We could really feel the absence of Josie and Eryn tonight. We just did not have the stamina to keep up with them through their many substitutions.
Tigers will be back in action February 8
th when they play John Brown again, this time in Siloam Springs, AR.
Go Tigers!
