Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Marshall's 22 points not enough to push Tigers past Golden Eagles

McPherson, KS – Cheyenne Marshall scores a career high 22 points in Tigers loss to John Brown University. Marshall would knock down 4 triples and go 4-4 from the free throw line on her way to lead all scorers in tonight's competition.
Central Christian Tigers (2-15, 0-10 SAC) would drop this matchup 85-59 to the Golden Eagles (3-3, 3-3 SAC). After just competing against the Golden Eagles at home on February 5th, the Tigers turned right back around and traveled to Siloam Springs to take on John Brown Univ. again.
Tigers would close out the game on a positive note, outscoring the Golden Eagles 22-17 in the final period. Unfortunately, the Golden Eagles would build a large lead through the first 3 periods that kept the Tigers from clawing back into the game.
Tigers would only shoot 18-61 (.295) from the floor and 8-33 (.242) from beyond the arc. John Brown would shoot 31-75 (.413) and 9-28 (.321) respectively. The biggest difference would be the turnover ratio as the Tigers committed 25 to the Golden Eagles 12.
Tigers remaining Sooner Athletic Conference games are:
February 11th HOME – USAO
February 13th AWAY – MACU
February 18th AWAY – SAGU
February 20th AWAY – TXWU
Central Christian Quotes:
Head Coach Marc Golden:
"A superb game by senior Cheyenne Marshall, she gave us a fighting chance but early foul trouble for Kassidy Forsberg and Destiny Broussard created too big of a deficit for us to fight our way out. We have fixed our rebounding and next we will fix our turnovers"
Go Tigers!
