Game Recap: Softball |

TIGERS FALL TO SCU TWICE ON SATURDAY AND SPLIT SERIES 2-2

Bethany, OK – Tigers lose heartbreaking games on Saturday as they lose both by a single run and drop to 3-3, 2-2 SAC.

Game Three

The Lady Tigers would turn to Soph. Mekaylee Beard to pitch the 3rd game of the series. Beard would go 3.0 innings, yielding four runs (1 unearned), on five hits, with one walk. All of the Eagles runs would come in the 3rd inning which would end up be just enough to give Beard and Tigers the loss. Kayla Voss would come in relief and have an almost flawless 3.0 innings pitched with her only hiccup being one baserunner, on a walk.

Tigers offense would be led by Altavia Hall (3-4 2B, RBI), Kayla Voss (1-1 RBI), and Taylor Bourne (1-4 RBI). Tigers would barley outhit the Eagles 10-9 and have slightly more RBI's (3 to 2).

Game Four

Tigers after the devastating game three loss would turn to Senior Pitcher Cheyann Sales to lead the Tigers. Sales would go four innings without a run given up as the Tigers built a 4-0 lead. Unfortunately for the Tigers they were done scoring and the Eagles were just warming up. Sales would pitch another 2.1 innings and yield five runs to give the Eagles the walk-off win in another one run loss.

Tigers bats wouldn't be as hot in game four as they would only total six hits compared to the nine hits for the Eagles. Jessica Aldana and Madison Morton would be the only two Tigers to record an RBI with one each.
Tigers tie the series at 2-2 and will move on to SAGU in their next conference four game series in Waxahachie, TX on March 6th.

Go Tigers!
