Bethany, OK – Tigers extend their win streak to 3 games after the day one sweep of the Southwestern Christian Eagles and extend their win streak of the Eagles to six games. Tigers took game one 5-2, and game two, 7-1, to improve their record to 3-1, 2-0 SAC.
Game One
The Tigers and Eagles would be evenly matched through 4 innings as both team would be tied up at 2 apiece. Tigers would then go on to score 3 unanswered runs and secure the 5-2 opening conference game victory.
Tigers would put
Hannah Hoffman on the mound for her second start of the season. After a rocky first start in which Hoffman would only go 3.1 innings with 6 runs allowed. Today would be a different story, she would yield 2 runs (both unearned) on five hits with two walks, fanning four in a complete game (7.0 innings).
Tiger's offense would be led by
Jessica Aldana (2-3 3 RBI),
Hannah Hoffman (2-3 2 Runs, 1 BB), and
Alexandria Pacheco (2-3). Tigers would outhit the Eagles 9 to 5 on the day and also would have 3 extra base hits and allow 0 for the Eagles.
Game Two
The Lady Tigers would continue where they left off in game one and completely dominate the game from the first inning. Tigers would go on to score 7 runs in 6 innings to take a 7-0 lead before the Eagles would get their lone run in the bottom of the 6
th to take away the Tiger shutout.
Cheyann Sales got called on for the Tigers for the 2
nd time this season to take the circle. Sales would continue her dominate performance in another complete game victory. She would allow 1 run (unearned) on five hits, with a walk and strikeout. Sales improves to 2-0 on the season and .50 ERA over 14.0 innings pitched.
Tiger's offense would be led by
Jessica Aldana (2-3 3 RBI, 2 Runs),
Cheyann Sales (2-4 RBI),
Breana Miller (2-4) and
Haley Lewis (1-4 2RBI). Tigers would once again outhit the Eagles 10 to 5 and hold the Eagles to no extra base hits.
