Sterling, KS – The Central Christian Tigers fell to the Sterling Warriors in game one of the double header, 7-2.
Game One
The Tigers would go in an early 5-0 hole through the first 3.0 innings to be a damper on their game opener. Chris Isaac, of the Sterling Warriors would get the start and complete game as he held the Tigers to 2 runs on 3 hits.
The Tiger offense would be led by
Christopher Sanchez (1-3),
Trystin Gilbert (1-2), and
Mason Seay (1-3 RBI) as they would be the lone Tiger hits (3) in game one.
Michael Pedraza would open for the Tigers. He worked through 2.0 innings, yielding four runs on five hits and two walks while taking the loss.
Cody Rohrbough would come in relief for 3.0 innings giving up three runs on three hits and one walk, while fanning 1 batter.

Tigers get out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the 1
st but the Sterling Warriors respond with 3 in the 1
st and 13 in the 2
nd inning to spoil the Tigers lead. Tigers would be able to score 1 in the 2
nd and two in the 7
th, but unable to comeback from big 2
nd inning.
Tigers would turn to
Caleb Ebert in game two. He would work 1.1 innings, yielding four runs on one hit and three walks, fanning one.
Austin Butenshoen would be saddled with the loss in relief after giving up nine runs on four hits and three walks without recording an out.
Christian Ogle would come in to finish the 2
nd, but not after giving up three runs on three hits. Tigers would settle down after the 2
nd as
Elliot Castorena and
Koki Matsuda would combine for 4.0 innings, giving up two runs on two hits and two walks with one strikeout.
