NEVADA, MISSOURI – Lady Tigers took on the Cottey College Comets for the first time in program history.
Olivia Pruitt led the Comets to a 48-40 victory, scoring 16 points, knocking down 7-16 shots.
Defensively the Tigers held the Comets, 18-64 (28.1%) from the floor, 6-21 (28.6%) from beyond the arc. The Comets struggled from the line finishing 6-22 (27.3%) from the charity stripe. Tigers forced 10 turnovers, and held the Comets to 27 rebounds to the Tigers 40.
On the offensive side the
Destiny Broussard scored 16 points on 8-15 shooting with 9 rebounds.
Cheyenne Marshall came up a point shy of recording a double-double finishing with 10 rebounds and 9 points.
Tigers finished with 15-52 (28.8%) shooting from the floor, hit 5-13 (38.5%) from 3 point land, and went 5-15 (33.3%) from the free throw line. Tigers tallied 10 assist and 17 turnovers, finished with 29 boards (11 offensively) and had 4 steals.
