GAME SUMMARY
1st Quarter
Both teams struggle to get any offense in the opening 5 minutes, but Tigers able to hold the advantage 5-2. With 1:48 remaining in quarter
Eryn Turner, made a basket in the paint to put the Tigers up 13-2 and score remains the same heading to the 2
nd.
2nd Quarter
The Ambassadors come out stronger on offense with a quick 2 pointer followed by a 3 pointer with a Tiger basket in between to put the score 15-7. At the midway point Ozark Christian climbed back in within 6 of the Tigers, 19-13. To end the period Tigers hand on to a 4 point lead 21-17.
3rd Quarter
An opening layup and an one cuts the lead to only 1 and the Tigers not able to convert going down the floor leads to another 3 point play by the Ambassadors and they grab their first lead of the game 23-21 with 8:57 remaining. Tigers however, show some resilience and finish the quarter with a strong 17-7 run to take a 8 point lead 38-30 heading to the 4
th and their first lead in the 4
th quarter this season.
4th Quarter
Tigers force early foul trouble for Ambassadors, as they go to the line 12 times and convert 8 times to keep the threat at a minimum. Overall, Tigers outscore Ozark Christian 12-11, and hold on for a 50-41 victory.
