MCPHERSON, Kansas – Lady Tigers cruise to a 7-0 victory over the Randall Saints on a cool rainy afternoon match. Due to the delay, both teams agreed before the start to play 35 minute halves to qualify as a countable game and avoid incoming weather later in the evening.
It was going to take much more than a 1.5 hour lightning delay and some rain to stop these Lady Tigers from their dominate performance today. This would be the Tigers 3
rd shutout on the year and 2nd game in row.
Mariah Godinez had the ice breaker in this match with an early goal starting what would be the offensive spree of Lady Tigers.
Isabel Schutter would have her go as she scored the next 2 Tiger goals to put the ladies up 3-0 with 17 minutes remaining in the half.
Alexa Riddle scored in the 22' minute mark and then
DeAnna Balencia capped off the half with another goal, as the Tigers took a commanding 5-0 lead through 1 half.
The 2
nd half wouldn't see as many goals, but the Lady Tigers would be highlighted by
Isabel Schutter scoring her 3
rd goal of the game as she completes the hat trick. Then with just minutes remaining
Alexa Riddle hit a banger from 25-30 yards out as the Tigers take the game 7-0, over the Randall Saints.
Tiger hold the advantage on shots 27-3, shots-on-goal 14-1, and corner kicks 3-0. The Tiger defense would be equally impressive only allowing 1 shot-on-goal and 3 total shots for the duration of the match.. Overall, the team executed on their opportunities and had a solid performance leading to the 9
th Lady Tiger victory of the year.

CENTRAL CHRISTIAN QUOTES
Head Coach
Cole Ouren:
"We challenged the team mentality prior to the start of the game. After sitting in a relaxed environment for an extended period due to the lightning delay, I was nervous on how we would respond, in particular in our mentality. However, the team once again showcased just what they're capable of achieving. Yes, it was nice to get the win but we are most proud of the team's mentality."
"In the game itself, I felt that we played really well. It was nice for everyone to receive playing time and properly evaluate some in a game environment. Each played extremely well and again are proud of the collective effort! The reality is that we cannot dwell on the win as we have an important conference match-up v SAGU on Friday. They've shown that they are a good team thus far into the season and we must be prepared."
