McPherson, Kansas - September 24, 2020
Tigers hosted the visiting Blue Jays in hopes to get the first victory of the year. Despite Tigers improving from their first meeting the Tigers would fall just short in securing the win and will have to wait until their next match comes up to find that W.
Tigers would go on to drop the match in 3 sets (25-19 / 25-13 / 25-21). Tigers would keep the 1
st set interesting as they would find themselves notched up with the Jays at 16 apiece, but would go on a 3 – 9 run to end the set. The 2
nd set wouldn't go as planned and the Tigers would dig themselves in a hole that they were unable to contain and Tabor would make the Tigers pay for their mistakes. In the final set the Tigers would save their best for last and make their opponents earn the victory. Tigers would trade points with the Blue Jays having 5 lead changes in this set and at one point the Tigers held the slight advantage at 21-19. Unfortunately things would not go the Tigers way and Tabor would take the set and match on a 6-0 run.
"Our record doesn't do justice to the improvements we are making. Its progress but we are still making steps towards our final goal. This is just the preseason so we keep trying things to get ready for conference."
Tigers drop their 7
th straight and look to bounce back next week October 2
nd as they take on Sterling College for homecoming.
Go Tigers!
