McPherson, KS – September 15
th, 2020
The Lady Tigers took a week off since their last game, but their offense didn't show any signs of rust as they would score 11 goals on the night. The Ladies controlled the game from start to finish and played good team ball as 9 different players would score on the night and 8 goals were assisted. The biggest difference in the game was on shot totals. The Tigers would have 46 shots compared to the Thunders 1, and of those 46 shots 23 were shots on goal. The Thunder defense was constantly on their heels and having to play defense.
Alyssa Emery,
Rachel Schlagel(2), and Samatha Carachure (2) would all score in the 1
st half to give the Tigers a quick 5-0 lead. This would open up opportunity for Coach Ouren and his Lady Tigers to play a bit more relaxed and get other players some quality time in the game. This wouldn't show to slow down the Tigers in the 2
nd half as
Alexa Riddle (2),
Alana Robinson,
Brandalyn Porter,
Kayla McDonald, and Angela Alvarez would go on to score in the 2
nd half to end the game 11-0.
On the defensive side
Goldie Bougher would get her 2
nd game in a row of a shutout. This credit goes also to her defense who allowed 1 shot to get off and pose as a threat. The Tigers outmatched the Thunder in size, speed, and endurance as they put this game away fast and easy.
Lady Tigers will be off for another week until they travel to Oklahoma to take on Bacone College on September 22
nd.
Go Tigers!
