Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Tigers roll on to a 3-0 victory over the Bruins

Kissimmee, FL – Central Christian Men's Soccer Team redeems themselves at the NCCAA National Tournament after a 3-0 victory over Carolina University.

The first round for the Tigers didn't go quite as planned as they took a tough loss to the tournament #2 seed Grace College. This time however the Tigers would pull off an upset of the #5 seed Carolina University.

Tigers and the Bruins would be in a dead lock match as no one would be able to have an advantage after 45 minutes. The Bruins would hold the shot advantage over the Tigers, but they weren't able to score in the back of the net.

After halftime the Tigers couldn't do anything wrong as they seemed to make all the right adjustments and dominate the 2nd half. The Tigers would score an incredible 3 goals for the half and leave the Bruins stunned.

Sebastian Herrera and the Tiger Defense collected their 3rd clean sheet of the season and it couldn't have come at better time with the Tigers in a must win situation.

"What an emotional roller coaster of a game! I am very proud of the kid's efforts tonight. Absolutely positive, brave, and competed fiercely!"

"We knew going in what was needed in order to advance. We needed to win and win by 4 goals. We got the 3 goals, which was the minimum needed to give us a chance. Even with a man down we continued to strive towards that goal, and were rewarded for it."

"This was an incredible team effort. All of the guys were locked in and emotionally invested in the task. We represented ourselves well and earned the victory."

"Congratulations to Matias Nunez for scoring his 35th goal in a Tiger uniform! He now stands alone as the 4-year all-time career scoring leader, a record held by Gunnar Kelly since 2012!" The Tigers will wait to see how Bethel University and Campbellsville University do tomorrow to determine the future for the Tigers in the championship. Both teams need to beat their opponents by more than 4 goals to help the Tigers advance.

Go Tigers!
