The Central Christian College Lady Tigers Volleyball Team (2-11) faced the Wayland Baptist
University Pioneers. Despite getting off to a strong start, the Tigers were defeated in 3 sets. This
was the last home game of the semester.
The first set was very close and the lady tigers fought hard until the last point. The final score of
the first set was 25-19. The second set was also a close one with a few different lead changes.
The Tigers had a late rally and took the lead when the score was 22 to 21. The Pioneers went
on to win the 2nd set 25 to 23.
Freshman
Andrea Padilla led the team in kills with six.
Alexis Abasolo and
Atlantis Jamerson
each had ten assists. Sophomore
Jacque Freeman led the team with 17 digs.
The Pioneers were led by Tatijana Markic in kills with ten. Lucie Mahelova had a team high 25
assists. Amber Daniel led the team with ten digs.
Multiple members of the volleyball team had this to say about the last home game of the
semester "we fought hard and played well. It was a win just to be on the court tonight and we
are excited to finish the season strong in Texas."
The Tigers will travel to Fort Worth, Texas next Friday to take on the Texas Wesleyan Rams.
