Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Tigers take tough road loss against USAO

Chickasha, Oklahoma
Tigers take tough road loss against USAO

The Tiger's men soccer team traveled down to Oklahoma to take on the USAO Drovers in a conference preview.
Tigers and Drovers would meet for the 4th time in their brief series that the Drovers would hold the advantage on 3-0. Tigers would go into the game looking to get that first series win!

The Tigers would have a relatively good first half only allowing one goal in the 25' by USAO's Gideon Bossman. Both teams would have strong defensive period with CCCK having 2 shots and USAO would have 3. Tigers would have a chance to make it a 1-1 game, but USAO GK would be able to save the game and Drovers would have a slight advantage going into half.
Tigers hoping for some positives in the 2nd half would be disappointed as within the first couple of minutes in the half the Drovers would extend their lead to 2-0.  Tiger struggles would continue when their Center Back would collect a red card in the 73' and Tigers chances of a comeback would plummet. Drovers would add another insurance run in the 89' to seal the game 3-0.

"Tough result tonight. It certainly didn't feel like a 3-0 game but that's soccer. The first goal and the second goal was just a lack of concentration on our part in a critical moment, something we've been affected by over the last few weeks. But that's what happens when you get into tougher teams, especially on the road."
"I thought we did enough to score once or twice. Their keeper came up with 3 huge saves, two of them in quick succession. Of course, when the red card happened, that sort of meant lights out at that point. Still, we had several half chances, including a penalty shout, but it wasn't enough. We've got to find a way to get better."
Tiger's drop 2nd straight game and will look bounce back when they host Southwestern Christian University October 23rd.
Go Tigers!
