Chris Dawson begins his first year as Assistant Coach at Central Christian College after coaching this past spring at Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hi. Dawson spent his first year of playing college baseball at Hesston College and then transferred to Tabor College for his sophomore season, where they set the school record for team wins in a season (45). He spent his final two years playing for the Central Christian College Tigers.
Dawson’s coaching career begin in 2015 with the Salina Blue Jays in the KCLB, a summer collegiate league, where he coached the Blue Jays to a berth in the NBC Tournament in Wichita, KS. Following that summer, Dawson took a job as an assistant coach at Hesston College (NJCAA), where he coached hitters, infielders, and base running. In 2018, Dawson accepted a position as Graduate Assistant for the Sharks of Hawaii Pacific University (NCAA D2). While at Hawaii Pacific University, Coach Dawson was in charge of coaching infielders, base running and assisted with coaching hitters. In his one season at HPU, the Shark’s first baseman was named All-PacWest First Team and All-West Region 2nd Team.
In 2015, Coach Dawson graduated from Central Christian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies: Exercise Science & Paraprofessional.
