Don Schreimann

Don Schreimann, is in his first year as the head women’s wrestling coach at Central Christian College. Coach Schreimann was hired late in the spring of 2017 to start the program, and be its inaugural head coach. He spent his first year on campus as an assistant coach for the Central Christian men’s wrestling program while recruiting for the women’s program, which will take the mat for the first time this winter.

Coach Schreimann began his coaching career in 1975 as an assistant football coach, assistant wrestling coach, and head girls track coach at Warrensburg High School (Missouri).  In 1982 he decided to go to law school at the University of Missouri.  He served as a volunteer wrestling and girls track coach during that time at Rockbridge High School in Columbia.  Even while practicing law he continued his coaching career finally realizing in 1990 that his true passion was coaching.  He coached at a number of high schools in Missouri and in addition became the Missouri USA Girls Wrestling Coordinator and head coach.  He retired from coaching high school wrestling in 2008 but moved on to become an assistant wrestling coach at the University of Central Missouri. During that time he continued his role with Missouri USA Wrestling.  In 2016, he became the women’s coach at Wentworth Military Academy which was a two-year college.  When Wentworth closed, Coach Schreimann came to Central, where he is looking forward to building a strong women’s program.
