Coach Kerr is in his 3rd season of rebuilding the Lady Tiger Softball program and year three starts with much anticipation.  Coach Kerr came to Central with 12 years softball coaching experience, most recently coaching at the 18U Gold Select/Travel level in the Dallas, Texas area.  Coach Kerr's 1st year started slow but ended very strong with the team surpassing the fiveyear total in Conference wins in just the 2011-2012 season and finishing 4th in the Conference, the highest finish ever for the Lady Tigers.  Coach Kerr's 2nd year saw a slight backset in the progress of the program in 2012-2013 with weather and injuries playing a big part.  Even though the year felt like a back step from the year prior, the program still made strides.  The upcoming 2013-2014 season, with some terrific recruiting and exceptional players returning should be the break out year for the Lady Tiger softball team.  Kerr played college baseball and was an All Conference performer for NCAA Division II Truman State University graduating in 1991.
