Facundo Ladetto Russo will begin his first season on the sideline as a student assistant. His primary duties will be player development, tactical analysis, and will assist Coach Matt with the reserve program on game days. Coach Russo mentioned his enjoyment in being involved with this year’s team by adding, “while I am new to the sideline from the coaches seat, I am very familiar with the program, having spent six years under Coach Hoxie. I am happy to be able to work with the team in this capacity because I believe that I can help us achieve our on and off the field goals.”
As mentioned, Coach Russo spent a considerable amount of time as a player at CCCK. His playing career was derailed with injuries but he was always loyal to the college and completed his studies in 2021. He graduated with a double major in Marketing and Business Management. He is currently in the final semester of grad school where he is pursuing a Master’s of Science in Strategic Leadership.
Coach Hoxie commented, “Facu is a delightful human being, one that I have found to be honest with me. His ability to tactfully inform players when things are not going right is a valuable part of what he will add to the team. When he speaks, players listen to him, and that is massive for a new coach. This is a new venture for him, but I do believe that we will be a much stronger team as a result of his work this semester.”
