Associate Head Coach Jon Shockley joins the Central Baseball staff this season.  Coach Shockley will also serve as the Pitching Coach. Shockley is a graduate of Wichita High School North where he led the pitching staff to a regional championship and a state birth in 1993.  He was also a First Team All-City selection.  He went on to play at Allen Community College, where he earned the closer role on a deep pitching staff.  He played semi-professional baseball for four years before joining the coaching ranks.  He was the pitching coach at Friends University for 3 years and coached short stints for Wichita High School South, Word of Life and Northfield High Schools.  He was the Head Baseball Coach for Valley Center High School and led the team to a Regional Championship and state birth in 2008, where they finished 5th in the state.  Coach Shockley was named the 2008 5A Kansas State Baseball Coach of the Year.  Jon served as the pitching coach for Allen Community College in 2010.  Coach Shockley has a passion for baseball and coaching players.  He has a strong desire to serve Christ and portray those characteristics on and off the baseball field.  Jon and his wife Jennifer have 3 children, Sarah, Austin and Nathan.
