Goodwell, Okla. - The Central Christian Men's Basketball team got back in the win column last night over the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies by a score of 53-44.

The Aggies came out firing as they began the game up 13-0 leaving the Tigers with some work to do to for the rest of the half, they would respond and go into the locker room trailing by just one point after a rough start by drawing some fouls and knocking down some clutch shots down the final few minutes of the half.

The Tigers completely took over the game in the 2nd half outscoring the Aggies by ten points and playing some incredible defense. Though neither team was able to shoot very well from the field, the defensive efforts from the Tigers created the advantage as they held the Aggies to just 17.9% from the field and one three pointer in the 2nd half. The Tigers also dominated on the glass in the 2nd half out rebounding the Aggies 28-19.

Jaeden Whitten Whitten led the way for the Tigers scoring 17 points and Travis King also notched a double digit game scoring 15. The 44 points allowed by the Tigers is the least amount of points allowed in Sooner Athletic Conference play since joining the conference in 2017.

The Tigers improve to 10-14 overall and 5-13 in conference play and look to carry the momentum into an away contest with John Brown University in Arkansas on Thursday. The game is scheduled for 7;45pm and will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
