McPherson, Kan. - It was a tough night for the Central Christian Men's Basketball team as they were on the losing end of a double-overtime thriller on Saturday evening against the Oklahoma City University Stars. 

The Tigers took advantage of the Stars' poor first half showing and built up a nine point lead that they took into halftime. The Tigers held the Stars to just 18% shooting in the first half and 1-10 from beyond the arc.

In the second half, the Stars found their rhythm as they shot 45% from the floor and erased the nine point Central lead by the end of the second half to force overtime. Some missed opportunities from the Tigers contributed to the blown lead but the Tigers geared up for overtime with backing from the home crowd.

Late in the first overtime with the Stars up two, Andre Cooper drew a foul that sent him to the free throw line with a chance to tie up the game. He would make both free throws and send the game to a second overtime.

The Tigers found themselves up knotted up with the Stars with one minute left but a costly foul would send the Stars to the line and they converted both for a two point lead late. The Tigers would go on to drop the contest 71-68 in double overtime. 

The loss moves them to 7-9 (2-8 SAC), and they now turn their attention to John Brown University on Thursday night. Tip is set for 8:00pm and the game will be streamed live on the Urban Edge Network.
