McPherson, Kan. - The Tigers took on Tabor College on Saturday afternoon at home looking to bounce back from a loss to McPherson College on Tuesday.
The first half was defense heavy and a bit sloppy in terms of scoring chances, neither team scored a goal and a shot from Tabor in the 15th minute saved by Tiger Keeper Nav Bhandal would be the only shot on goal for the half. The Tigers didn't take a shot in the first 45 so they looked to create more chances in the 2nd half.
Things picked up quite a bit in the 2nd half of this contest, the play became much more aggressive and there were way more shots taken by both teams. Tabor attempted to shoot 13 times with 5 making it on net but Nav Bhandal held his own saving all 5. The Tigers took 7 total shots and had some really good looks in the 2nd half, especially towards the end of the game but none made it on net. Tabor nearly came the closest either team had come to scoring in the 88th minute on a shot that hit the crossbar, but it stayed out. So although intense with plenty of action, the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
The Tigers are now 0-5-2 on the season and will head to Arkansas on Saturday to play Ecclesia College looking to secure their first win of the season before conference play begins the following weekend.
