Goodwell, Okla. - The Tiger Women's Soccer team took on the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies last night looking to carry over the momentum from a home win on Saturday.
The Aggies dominated possession of the ball and the scoring chances early, in the 31st minute they would score the lone goal of the first half to take a 1-0 lead. The Tigers ended the 1st half with no shot attempts and looked to generate some chances after the break.
The score remained 1-0 in the 2nd half for a while but in the 71st minute, the Tigers first shot of the game found the back of the net off of the foot of
Kaye Harrison to even the game at one a piece. Unfortunately, the Aggies answered back with 2 goals in 4 minutes in the 77th and 81st minute to take a commanding 3-1 lead late. The Tigers very quickly got one goal back as
Avery Lemons netted her first goal of the season in the 82nd minute to give the team some late hope. But the Tigers were unable to find the equalizer in the final minutes and would drop a close one to the Aggies by a score of 3-2.
The Tigers are now 3-7-2 (1-3-0) on the season and will play another road match against Wayland Baptist University in Texas on Saturday. The game will kickoff at 1pm and will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
