Goodwell, Okla. - The Tiger Men's Soccer team was back in action yesterday in Oklahoma taking on the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Aggies looking to carry over the momentum from a home win on Saturday.
The first half didn't feature a whole lot of offense, each team had just one shot on goal and both were saved. The Tigers were held to just 1 shot attempt in the half and looked to generate more chances in the 2nd 45.
The Aggies would strike first coming out of the break in the 53rd minute to take a 1-0 lead on a penalty shot. The Tigers responded in the 67th minute as
David Montano Gomez buried a shot into the bottom left corner for his first goal of the season to tie the game. Each team was able to generate a few more chances in the half, including a Tiger corner kick in the 89th minute but neither team was able to find the back of the net again as the game would end in a 1-1 draw.
The Tigers are now 2-6-3 (2-2-1) on the season, they are still sitting in good position in the SAC standings and will turn their attention to a big game against Wayland Baptist University in Texas on Saturday. The game will kickoff at 3:30pm and will be streamed on the SAC Sports Network and Urban Edge Network.
