McPherson, Kan. - The return of
Drew Schrader from injury was a big one as his goal was the difference in the Tigers SAC Opener. Play started off with Panhandle coming out aggressive getting off 2 quick shots at goal, but a save by
Timothy Foster led to a quick return and goal by
Nicholas Arenare's 2
nd goal of the season in the 9
th minute assisted by
Joan Muncharaz. Panhandle's Ayoup Bader scored an equalizer in the 41
st minute to send the game to halftime with a 1-1 score. The 2
nd half as in most matches this season were dominated by the Tigers as they were able to outshoot the Aggies 7-3.
Drew Schrader came off the bench to spark the Tigers attack, and scored his huge goal in the 74
th minute, his 2
nd of the season, and was assisted by
Conner Rodgers. The 82
nd minute had an insurance goal by
Grant Adams, his 2
nd of the season, assisted by
Marco Cherchi.
Timothy Foster had 3 saves at goal for the Tigers.
The Tigers (5-3-1) look to continue their winning ways at home on Tuesday versus Wayland Baptist (5-4, 0-1). Kickoff is slated for 7:30pm, and can also be seen on the SAC Sports Network.
