McPherson, Kan. - The Central Men's Soccer Home Season opener brought Tiger fans drama, nervousness, and joy as they held off Bethel College 1-0 to move to the Tigers to 2-0 on the young season.

Drew Schrader added to his already school record assists by assisting on the lone goal, scored by
Marco Cherchi. Cherchi and
Filippo Coscarella led an offensive attack that saw several close shots at goal.
Timothy Foster was outstanding in goal pitching a Shutout, holding the Bethel attack scoreless, despite Bethel's Filip Maksimovic's 7 shots on goal.
The Tiger Men will compete against McPherson County foe Bethany College (0-2), Monday, September 2, with Kickoff at 7:30pm.
