McPherson, Kan. -
Amanda Dotter came out swinging, but the Tigers (0-6), dropped 2 matches to Avila 1-5, and to Bethany 0-3. Dotter was able to connect on her 1,000
th Career Kill, as that was the top highlight for the Volleyball team in their home opener.
The Tigers came out hot and took Match 1 25-23. Avila took the next 2 25-16 and 25-18. The 4
th Match was a classic battle of runs, where the Tigers came back from 6 down multiple times to bring the score to 22-20. That brought an Avila timeout, where they closed with a 3-2 finish to take the match 25-22, and the game 3-1.
Nattelynn Burns led the Tigers with 17 digs, Mattie Nix with 19 assists and Dotter with 16 kills.
The Tigers played Bethany pretty even throughout, but Bethany was able to scrap together a 3 match sweep, 21-25, 19-25, 21-25. In this game Dotter scored her historic 1,000
th kill for her Tiger Career. Dotter's 18 kills, and
