Waxahachie, Texas – The Central Christian College men's basketball team experienced a loss this weekend against the SAGU Lions, 92-69.
The Tigers immediately established their lead with a jumper from Jevarrick Butler. They kept the lead up until the Lions scored their own jumper at the 17:26 mark and swiped the lead. They maintained it the rest of the game.
The Tigers saw the challenge and turned up on their offense, but the Lions also fought back hard, and by the end of the first half they still held a substantial lead of eleven points.
During the second half the Tigers had a few star moments, with a three pointer from Andre Shelby at the 19:27 mark, assisted by Jevarrick Butler. Chris Whitten scored a layup at 11:49. However, the Tigers could not keep up with the ever-growing lead that the Lions made for themselves, ending the game with a twenty-three-point difference.

The Lions were efficient from beyond the arc as they shot 42% for the game opposed to the Tigers 19%. This gave the Lions some breathing room throughout the night.
